Chuck Acid

Where are you from? What’s the music scene like there?

Philadelphia. The music scene is diverse and different sections of the city have their own sound.

How did you decide on your band/stage name?

It was a combination of my middle name and an old rap name I started with.

If you could headline any festival or show in the world, where would you want to perform? Why?

Made in America just off the name and what it means to my city. I never could afford the tickets or sneak in successfully so performing there would make a dope story for my kids.

What is your favorite piece you have written or you have listened to? Why?

My favorite song isn't out yet. Out of the ones that are, I always find myself listening to "All Praise Due" from my first project. It brings me back to when I first started taking music seriously and reminds me why I started.

If you could pick anyone in the world, living or dead, who would you most like to collaborate with? Why?

Stevie Wonder off the top of my head. Songs in the key of life was the soundtrack to a good year of my life plus a few relationships. Its music you can grow with and thats what I love about it.

How has Philly influenced your musical aspirations?

Philadelphia has always been seen as the stereotypical underdog. That label fit the hustle of our independent grind since day one and we used it as a reminder of how nothing is promised. Philly gave me the confidence to be who I am fully through the music, and the vision to add something to the game on behalf of Philly.

What’s next in your musical journey? What are your goals?

Continuing to grow and setting up a tour. January 2020 the Acid App is going to be available featuring exclusive music. The goal with the app is to bring a unique experience to listeners and people discovering my story.

What is your favorite type of candy?
