Brand X
When did you decide to become a musician?
2015!
How would you describe your sound and genre?
Conscious rap/hip hop
Besides your music, what other things do you love to do?
I enjoy anything art-related (drawing, dancing, painting, acting, writing), playing video games, eating, eating some more, and overall being my weird self.
Who or what are your main inspirations? Groups? Specific albums? Writers?
My main inspiration comes from Childish Gambino, Change the Rapper, Logic, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Tyler the Creator. I really value creativity, lyricism, and musicality. Gambino's because The Internet remains a constant source of inspiration
How does your identity influence your music?
My rap persona is my way of demonstrating my emotions to the world at large, in the hope of relating with others and maybe even helping them find solace in their own emotions. A lot of times we think we go through certain things alone, when in reality we all process a range of emotions on the daily. I hope to counteract this feeling.
Why do you love about performing?
I love being able to engage with the audience and feel the energy from the crowd. Performing is a way for me to make the tone of the music more authentic, rather than just a track online, as well as incorporating more artistry.
What do you hope to gain from this performance?
I hope to gain more fans, more exposure, but overall, I hope to see people connect with the music I have for them.
What is your favorite type of candy?
Sourpatch kids
